Everyone loves a good love story.
Hollywood has produced some great ones. So has Jane Austen. And Nicholas Sparks. But perhaps the greatest love stories are not made-up. They’re real. Raw. Gritty.
I think these are the stories worth sharing.
Relationships are not happily-every-after, and we’re suckers if that’s what we expect. Relationships are hard work. They demand time and attention and sacrifice.
Maybe if we spent less time escaping into romance stories and more time celebrating real-life love stories, we’d have a better handle on things. At least, I think so.
So, here’s to remembering. To first impressions and first dates. First fights and first kisses.
And making sure all those stories of firsts last.
